DADSS driver on demand

Customer and driver apps we built for DADSS in Sydney — owners booked a professional driver to move their own car, to the airport or the mechanic, and followed the job from pickup to drop-off.

The brief

The problem to solve

Taking a car to the mechanic or the airport costs owners hours. DADSS offers professional drivers who move the customer’s own car — “not a taxi, not rideshare” — and needed apps to book, dispatch and pay for each job.

Objectives

  1. Book a driver for local or airport trips
  2. Set pickup, drop-off and where the car is left
  3. Send each job to available drivers
  4. Pay from an in-app wallet
  5. Keep a history of every trip
What we built

Two apps, one service

Car owners booked in one app; drivers took the jobs in another; the DADSS team managed both.

Challenges

Not a taxi, not rideshare

01

Your car, not ours

ChallengeEvery job moves the customer’s own vehicle.

How we solved itEach booking records where the car must be left — not just a destination.

02

Airport runs

ChallengeAirport trips work differently from local ones.

How we solved itSeparate local and airport booking flows.

03

Drivers choose

ChallengeDrivers need control over their work.

How we solved itOffers they can accept or decline, and an availability toggle.

04

Simple payments

ChallengeCustomers shouldn’t enter a card for every trip.

How we solved itA wallet with added funds, a connected bank account and full history.
